i am in dialogue again with the latin phrase solvitur ambulando meaning ‘you can sort it out by walking’. exploring and informing by working out, finding out, drawing out and drawing through; all the possible connotations of the word solvitur. this is creating opportunities within the paintings for a slow and deep listening, of an imaginative and poetic response to my journeying across the landscape.
